Dear Jefferson Road Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! This is an exciting time as we prepare for the beginning of the new school year. We are eager to welcome your child through our doors on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
I would like to introduce some new staff members at Jefferson Road this year. Some of these talented professionals come from other Pittsford schools and some are new hires who will join our JRE faculty/staff upon Board of Education approval. Please join me in welcoming:

We also celebrate Miss Alongi who was married at the end of June. She is now known as Mrs. Maltman.
Student Placement Information: All placement decisions were made thoughtfully with careful attention given to parent and teacher input. Placement requires consideration of several criteria such as academic strengths and needs, individual learning styles, social development, and peer relationships. At this time, our class lists are final, and we believe that your child has been placed in an environment that will ensure their success this coming school year.
Field Trip Permission Form: By signing this field trip form, you give your child permission to attend any potential field trips for the entire school year. You will need the name of your child’s pediatrician and your insurance information when filling out this form. If in the future you need to make changes to your child’s field trip permission form, please contact the Main Office at 267-1300.
Transportation: You will receive a separate mailing from the Transportation Department on or around August 26, 2026 regarding your child's bus number and pick-up/drop-off times. School hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 3:05 p.m., and we will continue to have an activity period bus that will leave Jeff Road at 3:50 p.m. on scheduled days. For any questions related to your child's bussing, please call the District Transportation Office at 267-1480. It is important to remember that buses usually run later than expected the first several weeks of school until routines are in place.
For our Parent/Guardian/Student Orientation times, please see below. During these times, students will meet their teacher(s), put away any supplies, and learn about the upcoming school year. The linked packets below will also give you essential information in preparation for the upcoming year.
