Ms. Stephanie Barg, Principal

Ms. Barg has been a general education teacher for Pittsford Schools since 2012 and most recently served as Coordinator of Social Emotional Learning in the Office of Student Services. In this role, she facilitated the development, implementation, and evaluation of a coordinated, comprehensive and integrated approach to social emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral supports across District-wide initiatives. She provided regular and ongoing support to school mental health teams across the District and worked with internal and external providers to ensure appropriate levels of service for students. She also co-led the Trauma, Illness, and Grief response team, served as Chair of the Health and Wellness Committee, and managed the URMC’s Expanded School Mental Health clinic at PCSD.
Prior to her employment with Pittsford Schools, she served as a long-term substitute in Waterloo Central School District, and a fourth-grade teacher for Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL.
Barg earned a B.A. in History from University at Buffalo, an M.S. in Inclusive Childhood Education from Nazareth College of Rochester, and an M.S. Ed. in Educational Leadership from St. John Fisher University (College). She was awarded the Distinguished Leader Award from her cohort at St. John Fisher University, and is certified as both a School District and School Building Leader in NYS.
